This was our first time at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, decided to try this property as I had IHG Diamond Elite and InterContinental Ambassador membership

Location
The InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong is located near the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. It’s about an 8 to 10-minute walk from the station, and the nearest exit is at P2. While it’s convenient, do expect a bit of walking distance from the MTR station, especially if you are carrying multiple luggage.
Check-in
Check-in was surprisingly slow, even at the priority line, which was a little unexpected. When it was our turn to check in, I was acknowledged as an IHG Diamond Elite member and could choose free breakfast, and we also received the InterContinental Ambassador membership benefits of late check-out and the 20 USD credit, which could be used at selected places within the hotel.
We originally booked a Classic Room, but were automatically upgraded to a Classic Skyline Harbour View Room after booking immediately after booking and could be seen through the app.
The room
The Classic Skyline Harbour View Room is about 30 sqm and has a slightly unusual layout, with a small section jutting out for better views, which seems typical for rooms in this category. It also looked kind of dated. We had good views of the Victoria Harbour, however!

The bathroom came with Byredo amenities and included a bathtub if you ever want to soak in here.

These are also some of the amenities we received as part of our welcome, which includes two welcome drinks, as well as a fruit platter with a bottle of Fiji water.

The facilities
We also went to check out the Sun Court Pool, which is the name of the pool, and it definitely is on the smaller side.

The fitness centre is found on level 18, and it’s on the smaller end. We didn’t use it during this visit, so here is a photo from the hotel.

Membership benefits
As InterContinental Ambassador, we were also given some welcome drinks, which we used at Tiffany’s New York Bar on level 1. We were given the following menu. No cocktails were offered however.

As for the 20 USD credit, we used it on some desserts at the Lobby Lounge. You can check out the latest menu on the InterContinental website.

Breakfast
The breakfast was served at Café on M, located at the mezzanine level of the hotel, which offers a buffet-style breakfast daily from 6.30am to 10.30am. We had access given our IHG Diamond Elite membership. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, including both Western dishes and Hong Kong-style dishes.
There was also no problem finding a seat, as the dining area had plenty of space, so we didn’t have to wait at all for a table. Some of the tables also had very good views of the Victoria Harbour, though you may need to come earlier for that!

Concluding thoughts
Overall, I think it’s only of good value if you’re an IHG Diamond Elite member, since you would have breakfast included in your room, as there isn’t much to shout about. While the check-in process could be smoother, the hotel’s offerings and location make it a solid choice for travellers seeking a mix of city buzz and the waterfront views.
