# Review: EVA Air The Infinity Lounge (TPE)

We visited EVA Air’s The Infinity Lounge at Taoyuan International Airport twice in March 2025 during our cherry blossom trip to Japan. EVA Air operates from Terminal 2, and frankly, I felt the lounge was underwhelming given the airline’s home base in Taiwan. EVA Air’s outstation lounges feel nicer, like the one in Bangkok.

## Location and access

EVA Air operates four lounges in **Terminal 2** of the Taoyuan International Airport, all located near each other in the **central section** on the second floor.

In short:

- The Garden Lounge, which is across, is for EVA Air’s Infinity MileageLands Diamond members
- The Star Lounge is for Star Alliance Gold members
- The Infinity Lounge is for EVA Air business class passengers and Star Alliance first and business class travellers
- The Club Lounge, which is nearby, is for EVA Air’s Infinity MileageLand Silver members

Theoretically, if you are travelling as a Star Alliance Gold member or in a Star Alliance business class, then you should use The Star or The Infinity Lounge respectively. In reality however, Star Alliance business or first class passengers may get pushed to The Star if The Infinity Lounge is over capacity.

The lounge is open daily from **4.30am** until **midnight**. It gets quite busy in the mornings, and we even stayed until closing time once. I won’t cover the other lounges here.

## Layout

Enter the reception area and head right, since the left side is The Star Lounge. The space frankly looks like a fancy public library. There’s a work and lounge area to one side with semi-private pods.

The central area has more dining tables and additional semi-private pods. To me, it really feels like a fancy public library, maybe because of the bookshelf-like mirror structure in the centre. For the capacity it serves, the lounge feels very small.

It took me two visits to properly review it, since we were turned away the first time as EVA Air business class passengers when it was over capacity.

## Amenities

Showers are available on request at reception, located near the entrance. Each shower room comes with standard toiletries and slippers. Pretty good setup. They use L’Occitane shower gel, which is a nice touch.

When travelling in business class, you can choose to use showers in either The Star Lounge or The Infinity Lounge. I’ve been to both, amenities are the exact same. I would say the showers in the older The Star Lounge is much bigger.

There is also a business station with ergonomic Herman Miller Sayl chairs if you need to get some work done.

## Food and drinks

The buffet focuses on local Taiwanese food, like carrot cake, glutinous rice, and beef noodles. There were also international options like fresh salad. The quality is pretty good. Haagen-Dazs ice cream is served during lunch and dinner.

I also visited during breakfast, but obviously lunch and dinner offer more options. There were no barista-made coffee, just Illy coffee from a coffee machine, which isn’t bad at all.

Interestingly, there were some Pierre Hermé lychee and raspberry macarons too, along with some bites, and even Nama chocolate.

I found an empty semi-private productivity pod and had my dinner.

## Concluding thoughts

The Infinity Lounge is functional but doesn’t provide that wow factor, especially for EVA Air’s home base in Taiwan. The local food stands out, showers are solid, and the layout works for short stays. That said, it feels crowded and basic compared to what you’d expect from the airline. If you’re connecting through TPE in premium cabins, it’s worth a visit, given there are no other better options.
