# Review: Korean Air Prestige Lounge East (Left) (ICN)

We visited this lounge twice, in March and April 2026, on transit flights through Incheon. Like the Right lounge next door, we covered both breakfast and lunch across our visits. The Left lounge [opened in January 2026](https://news.koreanair.com/%EB%8C%80%ED%95%9C%ED%95%AD%EA%B3%B5-%EC%97%94%ED%84%B0%ED%85%8C%EC%9D%B8%EB%A8%BC%ED%8A%B8-%EB%8D%94%ED%95%9C-%EA%B3%B5%ED%95%AD-%EB%9D%BC%EC%9A%B4%EC%A7%80-%EC%84%A0%EB%B3%B4%EC%97%AC/) as the second phase of Korean Air’s Terminal 2 lounge renovation, and it takes things a step further than the Right side with a few additions that make it worth seeking out if you have the choice.

## Location and access

The lounge sits on the **east side**of**Incheon International Airport Terminal 2**, physically adjacent to the Prestige East (Right) Lounge. Both share the same entrance foyer but are two separate spaces.

Access policy is the same as the Right lounge. Standard SkyTeam lounge access applies, plus Korean Air Morning Calm Premium Club and Million Miler Club members. We entered as Star Alliance Gold members flying on Asiana Airlines, with no issues at the gantry on either visit.

On one visit, we were initially directed to the Right side. I asked to go to the Left instead, as my partner was already inside while I had stepped out to collect duty free items. The staff allowed it without fuss. The direction seems to be for capacity management, and if the Left side isn’t full, you can request to go to either.

## Layout

The entrance foyer is very well designed. There are baggage lockers available for guests to store their luggage, and the space is decorated with sculptural artwork that makes the approach feel more like walking into a hotel lobby than an airport lounge.

The interior design follows Korean Air’s 2025 rebrand, and it’s beautifully designed throughout, with glass finishes and warm, considered lighting. You can tell that real thought went into the materials and spatial planning here.

Walk in and the main space opens up as a large rectangular layout. To the left is a coworking area with communal tables and charging ports, alongside sofa-style seats. This section works well if you need to get work done before a flight, with enough table space to spread out a laptop and still have room for a coffee.

Beyond the coworking area, there are “library” style seats facing the windows and a long bar running along in the middle of the lounge. The window-facing seats partially overlook the terminal atrium and were popular on both our visits. Given the partial view, it isn’t as nice as the seats on the Right lounge.

![Korean Air Prestige Lounge East (Left) bar](https://cdn.quietvacationer.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/kal-prestige-east-left-7.jpg)
*Korean Air Prestige Lounge East (Left) bar*

To the right is the main dining area, arranged with restaurant-style tables and enough seating to accommodate the lounge comfortably even during busier periods. The flow between the dining and seating areas feels natural, and you don’t have to walk far to go between the buffet and your seat.

What sets the Left lounge apart from the Right are two experiential zones.

### Arcade zone

There’s an **Arcade Zone** with games and a Korean-style photobooth. You can ask staff for tokens to use the game machines.

The photobooth is the more interesting part. It’s the same style you’d find in Hongdae or Myeongdong, where you pose for a series of shots with filters and frames. No printouts here, though. You get a QR code to download your photos digitally. You’ll need to get a code from staff before using it. It’s clearly aimed at younger travellers or families, but it adds some character to the space.

### L’Atelier

The more interesting addition is **L’Atelier**, a cooking studio run in collaboration with the **Grand Hyatt Incheon**. It runs chocolate-making sessions in the afternoon, starting on the hour.

We didn’t have time on either visit to participate, but the concept is appealing. Korean Air seems to be leaning into participatory experiences as part of its lounge identity, and this is a good example of that in practice.

Here is a photo from the Korean Air press release of how the L’Atelier chocolate making session would look like.

## Food and drinks

The menu is virtually identical to the Right lounge, with the same live stations prepared by chefs from the **Grand Hyatt Incheon**. We were here for both breakfast and lunch across our two visits, so here’s a breakdown of both.

### Breakfast

The **DIY bibimbap** station is available from the morning onwards, and remains as good as the Right lounge’s version. Beyond that, breakfast includes **yoghurt**, **cereal**, **milk options**, and the same Korean hot dishes: **pork bulgogi**, **braised quail eggs with konjac**, **stir-fried tofu with vegetables**, **dak-bokkeumtang** (braised spicy chicken), and **bibimbap rolls**.

The bakery section had **muffins**, **pastries**, and **croissants**. There was also **cheese**, **cheddar**, **crackers**, **raisins**, **croutons**, **salad**, and **fresh fruit**.

### Lunch

For lunch, some items rotate out. The yoghurt was replaced by **egg sandwiches** and **salami sandwiches**. The morning pastries gave way to **black tea cake**, **chocolate cake**, and **margherita pizza**. Korean hot options for lunch included **seafood stew**, **roasted potatoes**, and **rigatoni all’amatriciana**. The **DIY bibimbap** remains available throughout the day.

### Ramyeon Library

This is the Left lounge’s signature food feature. An entire wall is lined with ramyeon packets in a library-style display, which looks impressive but is for show only. The actual selection comes from a vending machine stocked with **28 different options**. You pick your packet, take it over to the cooking station, and the machine is preset to prepare it for you.

Additional toppings and ingredients are available if you want to customise. It’s a clever setup that leans into Korea’s ramyeon culture, and it works well as a self-service concept.

### Bar

The bar also had an extensive menu from hard liquor to a wide variety of wine, beer, and cocktails.

## Amenities

Shower rooms are available and look very premium. The individual suites are spacious, generously sized even. Each comes equipped with a hairdryer, **Gillette** shaving foam and a disposable razor, and a full set of **Aesop** toiletries: **body balm**, **body cleanser**, **shampoo**, and **conditioner**. The Aesop products are a clear upgrade over what most business class lounges provide, and more in line with what you’d expect in a first class facility.

There appear to be around three shower suites in total, which feels limited for a lounge of this size during peak periods. That said, we used the showers at around 3pm and there were no queues at that time even though the lounge was in full capacity.

## Concluding thoughts

The Korean Air Prestige Lounge East (Left), having opened later, builds on everything the Right lounge does well and adds a few extras that make it the more interesting of the two. The Ramyeon Library is the standout, and something you won’t find at the Right lounge. L’Atelier offers a participatory element that’s rare for any airport lounge, and the Arcade Zone gives families something to do beyond sitting and eating.

The food quality remains high across both lounges, and with the Grand Hyatt Incheon chefs behind the live stations, it’s well above what you’d expect from a standard business class lounge buffet. The DIY bibimbap alone is worth the visit.

If you have time, both lounges are worth visiting since they offer different facilities. The Right lounge has wellness rooms with nap pods, better views of the terminal atrium, and a live noodle bar station, while the Left has the Ramyeon Library, L’Atelier, and the Arcade Zone. Our personal favourite is the Left side. Either way, Korean Air’s investment in its Incheon lounges since the 2025 rebrand has been substantial, and both are among the better business class lounges in the region.
