I visited the Plaza Premium Lounge (International Arrivals) as I had an early morning arrival in Sydney, and just so happened to be waiting for my friend coming in from another flight. It’s not often that you find an arrivals lounge, so I figured I might as well check it out rather than sit around in the public arrivals hall.

Location and access
The lounge is in Terminal 1 of the Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, in the Arrivals B concourse on the ground floor.
Look for signs to Aerotel, as the Plaza Premium Lounge is located inside the Aerotel.
You can enter with Priority Pass. At check-in, I received a receipt showing a two-hour access limit, which was more than enough for my visit.
Layout
This Plaza Premium Lounge is on the small side, and only one other guest came in during my visit. It feels very much like Aerotel’s restaurant repurposed into a lounge.
Seating is mostly café-style dining tables, along with a few high-top seats facing the exterior of the terminal. There are no tarmac views here.
Food and drinks
As with most arrivals lounges, the food and drink offering is fairly pared back. That said, I thought the breakfast spread was better than expected, with hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, and potatoes.
There were also cold options, including salads, yoghurt, and fruits.
Everything was self-service, including the coffee machine, and there wasn’t any staff presence until a little later.
Amenities
Showers were available for an extra charge, which I didn’t add on, so I can’t comment on those. Washrooms are located outside the lounge and are shared with Aerotel.
Concluding thoughts
For what it is, the Plaza Premium Lounge (International Arrivals) is a handy little hideout. It’s more “airport café with lounge access” than a purpose-built arrivals lounge, but that also means it’s straightforward, quiet, and easy to use if you just want a seat, a bite, and a breather after a long flight.
The biggest plus is convenience: being landside in the arrivals area makes it genuinely useful for waiting for someone to land or freshening up before heading into the city. The breakfast spread is better than I expected, even if the overall setup feels basic, with no real “wow” factor — no views, limited ambience, and staff presence that can be a bit light depending on timing.
Would I go out of my way for it? Probably not. But if you’ve got Priority Pass and you’re already in the area, it’s an easy “why not”, especially when the alternative is hovering around the public arrivals hall.
